Pop-Up Shabbat PDX Honoring the Mother

Regular price $47.50

Shalom!

In honor of Mother's Day 2019...grab your mame, your bubbele or your bestie for a Pop-Up Shabbat Honoring the Mother & The Goddess Within. Breaking Bread Dinners presents a night of celebrating the women you love with special intentions and readings related to the beauty of the Mother.  Men are invited too-this is Shabbat for all!

Shabbat is the Jewish Friday-night ritual of family and friends gathering around a table for a feast that starts with blessings over candles, bread, and wine...and ends with sweets and often singing (the wine helps with that). Bring your appetite and open mind and join us for an inspired meal and a cultural experience. Featuring the famous handmade ice cream from Jared Goodman for dessert.

Dinner price includes a cocktail (or mocktail). Additional cocktails and wine are available for purchase - or BYOB.

When: Friday, May 10, 2019, at 6:30 pm

Where: Kuchenhaus- A Kitchen House, 3131 SE 12th Ave, PDX

Cost: $47.50

About the crew...

STORYTELLER: Jared Goodman was once upon a time an academic, then he became an educator, then a food activist and blogger, all the while nurturing a love for cooking and baking. Everything changed with the birth of his daughter and life's transformation to a full-time, stay-at-home parent. Jared discovered the whimsical combination of inspired ice cream desserts, storytelling, and hosting dessert pop-ups. An idea was hatched and his ice cream adventure was born with Morgan St. Theater

WWeek: Jared Goodman is Portland’s Best Ice Cream Storyteller, July 10, 2018

HOST: Kristin Spear has been a wardrobe and set stylist for 25+ years and is the founder of FaithHaus- a new retail experience she calls the marketplace for modern faith. Her love of spirituality and the rituals people use in their lives to stay grounded has led to Breaking Bread Dinners. The definition of breaking bread is to share one's assets with another person or group. It promotes peace and affirms trust.  We believe can grow community through the sharing of ritual and food.
